Beats Pottery Barn prices

Oysters anyone?  Wood dressers with inlaid mother of pearl, who would have thought?  Bold paint colors combined with iridescent inlay make these dressers hard to miss.  I thought they were pretty cool but too bad the prices aren’t.

Drawers gone mad!  Apothecary cabinets have been around for centuries and there are many reproductions out there.  But here are the originals!  Chinese doctors used these cabinets as early as the 1800’s to store their medicinal roots and herbs.  Each of the many drawers was then labeled accordingly.

You be the judge.  These truly vintage chairs are for sale and are the ultimate in shabby chic.  They are showing up in some of the best home furnishing stores in New York City.  If these chairs are your style, you need the right space, the right home and very deep pockets.  No kidding, they may have been picked from the trash but they carry some serious price tags. Makes you wish you kept grandma’s old chairs.

I actually like the authenticity of the burlap linings and the natural wood, but these shabby chic chairs would be strictly for display in your home.
