I’m so glad that Sweden’s King Gustav III liked to travel to France and meet up with Louis XVI.  If he hadn’t, there wouldn’t be these great antique sofas that were born out of the Gustav period.

These antique sofas are perfect examples of Sweden’s classic gray and off-white finishes.  The lines are curvy but simple and I think I like them better now with the worn wood and tattered upholstery.  And if you’ve ever looked close at one of these classic sofas you’ll see the real horse hair padding.

Not sure I’m ready to replace my cushy sectional yet but I sure can appreciate the beauty in these vintage Swedish sofas.

Old meets new.  Inspired by vintage industrial carts, this new wood console table could be mistaken for the real thing.  Perfect as a media center and plasma TV stand, this industrial cart comes fully equipped with drawers, metal handles and wheels to complete that industrial look.

Valise, french for a small overnight travel bag.  The origin is actually from valigia, which is Italian for suitcase.  These vintage bags or suitcases are made of canvas and leather and of course real metal locks.

They sure don’t make luggage like they used to.  These vintage bags are cool and made of all natural materials.  I like these particular bags because of their unique faded green canvas and touch of naturally worn leather.

Forget the wheels, I would have no problem carrying one of these vintage suitcases through the airport with my trusted leather handle.  But not sure it would fit under the seat!

Wikipedia, a propeller is a type of fan which transmits power by converting rotational motion into thrust.  So why is that we want to hang them completely stationary on our walls?  Well, they just don’t make wood propellers anymore and now they can be used to make great wall art.

This antique baker’s cabinet is as natural as the pies it once held.  Real wood, metal hardware and glass pane doors, this cabinet was built to last.  Years of paint to keep it looking as fresh as it’s pies still remains on the glass.  And cool vintage hardware was used to lock away those fresh baked pies.

I can’t remember the last time I smelled a fresh baked pie but I would gladly take this wood cabinet home with me.  Maybe I could heat up a few Mrs. Smith’s deep dish pies and just put them inside the cabinet.  I think I have a coupon!
